The Kryme Lab was first created in 1993 by two ambitios young men. It was originated in the West and brought to the East when DOA brought the first Kryme Lab hits, "Hitten Pockets" and "Burn em slow" with many more to follow.  Loc and Jazz (DOA group memebrs), whos stage names were N-Sane and Homicide, were putting out tapes successfully ever since high school. In 1996, The group was reformed with additional members and the beats and distinguished sound of the Kryme Lab was called murda shit by Loc and the production legacy became Trail ov Smoke. The LAB consisted of an umcounted number of people across the country.  The underground story was an unspoken success.  Ever sinse 1995 the Kryme Lab has hosted and featured many venues through many members like LOCSTA, OE THA GAFFLER, Homicide, Tuff Luc and Wyte Water. The group has many contacts and connections through affiliates in Miami, Atlanta, Pensocola, and Tacoma WA. The crew quit sending out demos as they noticed some of their material and catch phrases were being used by other rappers. No doubt, they decided to take things into their own hands. This was an extremely tedious task and called for much attention and money. In 2002, Locsta, OE, Tuff and Wytewater toured to the south east in hopes to promote. They ventured through Lafayette, and New Orleans LA, Boiluxi, Mississippi. and Pensacola and Panama City, FL. Also in 2002, the Kryme Lab made arrangements to make a label out of the name Kryme Lab Records. The legal procedures and lack of resources hurt them and they exausted their options and expences. They put hundreds of tapes and Cd's out during this period, just underground raw. In 2003, they dropped their long awaited album " The Labalation Vol. I. They sold albums over the internet that were self written, produced, recorded, and designed, pressed, and distributed soley by themselves. They sold about 1,000 copies in the Harford Co. and Baltimore Co. area.Over the next couple years, there was speed bumps in the road to success. They continued to record and make tracks but Many variables affected the plans and the intensions of the LAB. Grinding and networking for the last few years has helped the Kryme Lab and the up and coming label, Trail ov Smoke Records, get back on track. they now have a budget that will allow them to things they have not done in the past. In 2005, they were recording again, throing shows and parties, and making good original music.  Trail ov Smoke will be releasing The Locsta's solo album " My Life, Your Entertainment " and plan to throw many shows and parties between Baltimore and Philadelphia. The Swagga Boys (Tuff and J-Rod) are droppping in summer of 07 and then the production of Tha Labolation Vol. II  The same members are involved along with business associates, such as Black Cat Inc., Soundgrind.com and a strategic plan to take the game by surprise and provide something to the industry that has been needed for years. They have shown exuberant resolve and have remained innovative even through the most trying times.
